AHHH.., finally in my room.not bad hun?.

Thanks to some friends who picked me up and took me around, we went to eat lunch @ this African restaurant. Very tush place too. Lots a palm leave as you can see from the roof. Their service was lovely too; the ladies look good in the Ghanaian clothes they’re wearing. While we wait for lunch, we ordered some Ghanaian beer...its called ghana club beer. tastes a little like harp and palm wine (if ever ther's a combination like that)...., only a little watery, but dont under estimate this dude. Four of it can make you feel buzzy..
i ended up eating an ibo food called Etu or something like that. its mainly soup, in a big bowl with one wrap of pounded yam. very yummy.i couldn't stand up for 15minutes after consuming it. i felt like i actually ate a horse.

….On second thoughts..I decided to sample another brand. Its called Club Gold beer ..yuck! Tasted like water. Finished it though, but decided to stick with the club beer. I knew we could get along better much better.

After lunch and another cold bottle of beer, (because of the heat around this time, people tend to drink cold beer with lunch here a lot...But I couldn't...so I took mine after eating my lunch...they just looked at me and smiled. Yea, yea yea, ‘whatever!’ Am still of the school of thought…drink water with your food.

After lunch, it was a straight drive to the University, passing through an old secondary school. (Can’t seem to remember the name now…*ick*)

They still retained most of there old buildings from around 1945? Yea… mostly restored though but the buildings was breathtaking. You could actually see the funny plumbing’s and pipes to keep warm and run steam into the building….. (Don’t ask me what they needed steam for)...

THE 2ND DAY.......

The sun rises here in Ghana quite early, say 5am?..yea. cause this is 6.40am

Around 7am now....

You must be wondering what i was doing snapping still pictures from a window...lol

Am in the restaurant @ Frankies Hotel waiting for my breakfast.(grinning sheepishly and winking*** :))

come onn..come on..come on.....fried eggs with omelette, toast break some jam, some tea..yummy.....I can't wait.

back to my friends house and while we wait for lunch?......YEA!.....club Beer Baby.

..I couldn't contain my joy...AND DISBELIEVE; a whole library of books, novels and more novels, most of them vintage left to the dust and roaches. From john Saul to Dean Koonz to Hollywood wives, husbands.... and more I can’t name. They were quiet glad to loan me some; since they were lying fallow anyway..
Gracias…., I will cherish them. Because these babies are coming with me…I need to feed my always hungry mind with words.

Now its lunch time, I got to eat some food made from some Soya stuff....but the soup was super... Lots a meat and fish in eat. I was filled up. Not to worry.., I ate only one wrap.

The making of this food was fascinating; the lady kept pounding away with indifference...very fast; while the woman turns it every time the pestle goes up. It’s always missing her hand by a spill second. It was fascinating…really. Such dangerous moves because you want to eat. I’ll really hate to have blood in my food you know.

See that?...i got that just right...missed her hand...by a freaking second...no...half a second....te hair on my neck was standing..i musta taken 8 shots of this lol. the video would have been better.

Some Ghana boys on the street; this kid is so funny; he’s a real clown lol. He really made me laugh I had to snap and remember him. Dafor or something is his name. He wants to be a footballer

night fall and we're back in town hanging out eating suya.. and when we get thirsty?....CLUB BEER BABY!!...YEEEEEEEAA!....lol. I think i got dropped back @ my hotel around 10pm. which means its 11pm back in Nigeria.

got to hang out infront of Frabkies till 12pm. people kept coming in and out of the place. lotsa white folks in this hotal and part of the town too. it quite safe. Met some nice university girls too..that was around 11pm. tey came in a coroola sports.. we had some beer agin together and off they went...(i hope she gets home..or school safely..lol)..yea....am off to bed now. its....12.15am..what?!!...

THE 3RD DAY........

No hang overs (thank God). its the third day and am feeling good...Hmmmm... looking @ my coupon and wondering what i'l have for breakfast...toast bread, eggs and tea?..or just plain toast break...lol. Not much choice i guess.

Our lil car had a flat tire... noting that can't be fixed.
its 9am and the sun is killking. temperatures should be in the vicinity of 27 degrees...or more.....lol.

Another monument you can't snap...you'll be jailed and shoot dead...without trial (solemn face....staring @ you....) :)

This building has got lots of statues, portraits and beautiful carvings lining the front of the building. In Nigeria?, You probably wont find any by the next morning lol.

Now this is fried beans and rice. But its friend in a sauce that the recipe goes back ages (well...from what i heard lol.) but it’s really tasty. The food is ..Hmm...Hum....HUMMMMM!!..and of course....a club beer.....(chuckling silently)...i dont think i've drank like this since my University days...lol.
