Life has been good; it’s got its highs and lows.... (They make me dizzy).
Recently events have been taking me places. I intended going to a local popular pub in London town...to check out some local brew (see me sounding like a specialist in wine and liquor tasting)...and a night club in Swindon (I heard is off the hook), but the embassy was acting up (thanks to the allow me to call it the reputation of some unscrupulous Nigerians who have unfortunately caused them to be weary of us; making us first guilty until proven otherwise. which is not helped by those in authority who are even worse than the average Nigerian, but then,...that is not the gist today) considering I had just a few days left of my leave, I decided to go to Ghana. A wonderful place (except for the sun...you can die of sun stroke...trust me). I went through embassy quite easily lodged in Frankie’s Hotel, a nice place indeed; Located in the centre of a popular are in OSU (not the school in ijebu ode in Nigeria ooo).
I love there sense of patriotism, it's easily noticed from the dash board of there taxis, there stalls and clothes they wear. The Ghanaian colour is every where.
I was a bit confused about there currency but quickly got the hang of it. The first lesson is...never tip with a pesewa...only with cedes; preferably 20cedis. That way you earn much respect. Stuffs are quiet cheap here you know. I took a few pictures on my way from the airport. I was told later you can’t take pictures at just any where here (the Nigerian in me picked up the waves...I plan to do exactly just that, if I can).
Haaaaaa... one of the nicest clubs in Ghana; the windows are so huge, its floor to ceiling with the floor itself extending out of the building. The feeling is ...exhilarating.
I decided to stay far from the window. I’ve watched too many movies of people getting thrown through the glass...lol.
