Am waiting for the day..,
An African coach will lead an African team to the World cup and win.
Am waiting for the day..,

Am waiting for the day..,
Moving at night won’t be a nightmare from robbers and police.
Am waiting for the day..,
The banks in Nigeria won’t give me stories.
Am waiting for the day..,
Legislators won’t throw chairs and fight in public.
Am waiting for the day..,
The Nigerian youth can raise their heads in public
Am waiting for the day..,
Senators won’t drink our sorrows like tonic.
They’ll realise it’s our lives them dey use to frolic
Am waiting for the day..,
There’ll be a 4th mainland bridge.
Am waiting for the day..,
I won’t be afraid whenever am sick.
Am waiting for the day..,
I won’t have to queue for an hour at the emergency ward.
Am waiting for the day..,
My country will finally stay on course.
Am waiting for the day..,
Am waiting for the day..,
Investors will want to really come to Nigeria.
Am waiting for the day..,
Our country will be more conducive than another.
Am waiting for the day we’ll be proud to be Nigerian’s and not Diaspora.
Am waiting for the day..,
An African will find the cure to cancer.
All these things I seek shall have an answer.
For our long do we wait for our futures to be bright?
For how long do we keep these hopes alive?
We are all waiting for the day…
